This Temple Was Built by Shah Kundan Lal and Shah Phundan Lal. They were residents of Lucknow (oudh). They made a registered waqf in favour of the deity i.e. Sri Thakur Radha Raman Ji Maharaj in the year 1866. The Contruction of the temple started during the year 1860 and it took Eight long years to get the construction work completed.
Rituraj bhawan is popularly known as Basanti Kamra. The entire room is Yellow in color. The ceiling and the walls have been painted with multicolored paintings. The Singhasan (throne) , the doors, several mirrors some as big as ten feet high are all gold plated. Although being older than 140 years they still glitter with amazing grandeur and brightness. The dome shaped artistically painted ceiling supports fifteen huge Belgium glass chandeliers. The chandeliers are of different colors such as white, crimson, yellow, orange red and green.
Shri Kundan Lal Ji and Shri Fundan Lal Shah Ji belonged to Lucknow. Their deep and real interest in Vrindavan Dham blessed both of them with many qualities. With the Blessings of Shri Ji and Shri Gurudev, they both wrote many poems which they have witnessed with their eyes in Braj Dham Vrindavan. They have witnessed the leelas of Shri Radha Rani & Shri Krishna in the Vrindavan Dham and translated those leelas in the form of poem. Abhilash Maduri is the Collection of these poems which are world famous and used to sing on different occassion by many temples and devotees in front of their thakur Ji.
